Darl E. “Bud” Crawford, age 71 of Huber Rd, New Bethlehem, PA died 11/30/09 hunting at his home. Born in Oak Ridge, Redbank Twp, Armstrong County on 2/25/38. Father-Darl F. Crawford, mother, Ida Beer Crawford, both preceded him in death.

Bud was married on 9/2/60 to Patricia J. Gathers, who survives. He was a lumber buyer and worked for Crawford Furniture. He served in the Army Reserves.

Survivors are his wife Patricia J. Crawford of New Bethlehem, a daughter in law Kimberly Crawford of Gibsonia, PA, two grandchildren, Bryan and Blaine Crawford of Gibsonia, PA, two brothers, Samuel R. and his wife Judy Crawford of New Bethlehem, Richard and his wife Pat Crawford of Mayport, two sisters, Jean and husband Elbert Shaffer of New Bethlehem, Cheryl and husband Floyd Metz of Dover, DE. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Bradley S. Crawford who died in 2004.

There will be no visitation and memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, from the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion with Rev. Dottie Kunselman officiating. Interment will be in the Squirrel Hill Cemetery.

We are sadden to lose not only a friend but someone who was a teacher to the kids of Hampton Baseball. It has been my pleasure to have known Bud.
